« Draw me a village»!
Village 'pretty as a picture', Montrésor was it indeed all yesterday, despite of a distasteful weather, in less hot colours than those of local heritage.
The drops of water ended up crossing umbrellas, wetting watercolours more than of reason. The champions of the "charcoal" were not spared : an artist come from Neauphle-le-Château had a so humid support which she did not succeed even any more in erasing.
Everybody made good heart however against bad destiny. Signalled, the different sites accepted weighing them easels, thanks to the complicity of Montrésorois's citizens, happy to open hearts and doors to talents come to promote "their" village.
Displayed to the secondary school at the end of the day, paintings literally enticed the visitors. It is true that many known signatures had wanted to translate on paper or canvas, the beauty of the castle, of the collegiate, covered market of Cardeux and of traditional building of a village appreciated as one of the nicest of France.
The artists who wanted it participated in a competition where were judged the representation of heritage and artistic creation. At the end of pencils and of brushes, there was the insurance of a new exhibition in Paris next November.
